What it is
A chronic widespread pain syndrome often accompanied by fatigue, unrefreshing sleep and cognitive difficulty. Diagnosis is clinical and requires consideration of other important explanations.

Persistent Pain
When is medical reassessment needed?
New or progressive pain with fever, unexplained weight loss, a history of cancer, fracture risk after trauma, neurological weakness, saddle numbness, bladder or bowel change, or loss of balance requires prompt or emergency assessment according to the symptoms.
