Physical capacity
Strength, power, tolerance and neuromuscular control.
SPORTS REHABILITATION
The programme progresses from symptom control to strength, running, speed and sport exposure. Criteria and response to loading guide each step.

SPORT PATHWAY
Restoring movement alone is not enough. The programme should rebuild the capacity required by training, position and the athlete’s level.
Strength, power, tolerance and neuromuscular control.
Controlled progression of volume, speed and response.
Specific tasks, change of direction and gradual exposure.
Monitored loading and a maintenance programme to reduce reinjury risk.
BY SPORT
The programme adapts to the movement patterns, pace, contact, surface and specific role of the athlete.

PROGRESSION
Phases may overlap. Progression follows biological healing, measured capacity and tolerance to loading.
Mechanism, irritability, recent load and sport demands establish the baseline.
Movement, control and basic strength return while general conditioning is maintained.
Strength, power and tolerance progress towards the athlete’s role.
Speed, deceleration, jumping and change of direction are introduced progressively.
Modified training and specific tasks precede full loading.

FUNCTIONAL TESTING
No single score is sufficient. Physical capacity, movement quality, tolerance and sport exposure are interpreted together.
Tests are selected for the injury, sport, position and phase; the same battery is not used for every athlete.
COMMON QUESTIONS
General guidance for sports rehabilitation; individual decisions follow examination.
When symptoms, baseline capacity and response to loading meet phase-specific criteria, not only after a fixed period.
It depends on the injury and phase. Symptoms are interpreted with function, post-load response and risk.
When appropriate, clinical testing is complemented by running, jumping, deceleration and sport-specific tasks.
Load continues to be monitored and progressed towards full participation and performance.
PHYSIOTHERAPY
Assessment, treatment and follow-up from individual rehabilitation cases.
