What it is

Overload of the hamstring tendons near their attachment at the ischial tuberosity.

Typical clinical symptoms

  • Deep pain below the buttock
  • Pain with prolonged sitting or forward bending
  • Symptoms with sprinting, uphill running or hamstring exercise
