WITHIN THIS CATEGORY

What this category includes

The individual plan selects the relevant methods and activities from this category; they are not all applied at every session.

  • Clinical history and goals
  • Pain measurement and functional questionnaires
  • Joint range of motion (ROM)
  • Muscle strength
  • Clinical tests, balance and functional tasks

ROLE IN THE PLAN

Four decisions that make the intervention understandable.

The individual plan follows assessment; a method is used only when it serves a clear objective.

01

History and goals

We understand the concern, its course and what the patient wants to regain.

02

Selected examination

Tests match the presentation rather than a fixed package.

03

Baseline measures

Functional findings create a reference for comparison.

04

Next decision

The next step may be rehabilitation, specialist coordination or another assessment.

PROCESS

From the clinical reason to the next decision.

Every step should be understandable to the patient and connected with progress.

  1. 01

    Clinical conversation

Symptoms, history, previous care and goals establish the context.

  2. 02

    Safety screen

Signs requiring medical assessment or coordination are identified before testing.

  3. 03

    Selected tests

Movement, strength, balance and functional tasks are examined according to the case.

  4. 04

    Starting point

Findings are documented and translated into measurable goals and next steps.

MEASUREMENT

We measure what needs to change.

Not every patient needs the same tests. Measures are selected for the area, phase and objective.

The result of one session is not interpreted separately from function and overall progress.

WHAT WE CHECK

01Movement and control
02Strength or capacity
03Relevant functional task
04Patient-reported baseline

COMMON QUESTIONS

Before you begin.

Answers are general; individual decisions follow assessment.

Do I need to prepare for the tests?

Comfortable clothing and documents you already have are usually sufficient. Tests are selected after the history is discussed.

Do I need an MRI?

Not automatically. Existing imaging is reviewed in context and new imaging is considered only when clinically indicated.

When are measures repeated?

At points where the result can change dosage, phase or the next decision.
